Modular systems for the preparation of solutions were designed and fabricated for capacities of approximately 270 gallons (1000 liters) and 800 gallons (3000 liters). Access platforms were installed on both vessels and several transfer panels were used in the systems. The two systems were designed for Seismic Zone 4. The 316L stainless steel, 270 gallon vessel was a vertical, insulated and clad vessel, with a heat transfer jacket attached. This vessel was designed for an internal pressure of 45 PSIG/FV @ -20°to +204°C and the heat transfer surfaces were fabricated to meet the ASME specifications in section VIII, latest edition. The 800 gallon, 316L stainless steel vessel was also a vertical, insulated and clad vessel with a heat transfer jacket attached. As with the smaller vessel, this vessel was designed for an internal pressure of 45 PSIG/FV@ -20° to +204ºC. Two single spray CIP devices were installed in the vessel. Both vessels were supported on 5 inch, schedule 40, stainless steel pipe legs, with flanged feet to allow them to be bolted to the floor. A 304 stainless steel, diamond plate platform assembly, with handrails and stairs, were provided for access to each vessel.
