A 316L stainless steel vessel was designed and fabricated to contain a 32˝ Roman filter with a drainable plate. The vessel was insulated and a 304 stainless steel heat transfer jacket, with a dimpled surface, was plug welded to the sidewall of the shell. The vessel contained a CIP spray device, a turbo disc washer (model 100-S) with sanitary clamp connections. This spray device conformed to the present standards set by the FDA, USDA and 3A for the food, dairy and beverage industries.
A lift stand was fabricated from square tubing to incorporate two linear actuators, which were controlled by a hand-held pendulum.
